Welcome to United for Health Reform

Washington is in the midst of debating historic health care reform legislation.  Now is the time to have your voice heard.

We at UnitedHealth Group support bipartisan comprehensive, sustainable health care modernization that controls costs, builds on the strengths of the employer-based system, and allows individuals to keep their current health plan while expanding coverage to all Americans.

As men and women who work every day to fulfill UnitedHealth Group’s mission of developing innovative products and services to help people live healthier lives, we have unique perspectives regarding the direction of health care modernization.  As you know, in partnership with physicians, hospitals, and other health care providers, our industry has developed best practices that enable sustainable modernization that will slow future health care cost growth while delivering quality medical coverage.  These include efforts from streamlining administrative paperwork to initiatives that reduce medical errors, all to ensure that providers and patients are empowered.

We have also offered ideas that government can undertake today regarding consumer protections and responsibilities that would guarantee coverage for all Americans, regardless of gender or health status, thereby making pre-existing conditions a thing of the past.  Working together with the President and Congress, we can help make these proposals a reality for all Americans, and you have a key role to play in making this happen.

We are at a critical time in this significant debate.  Stay engaged.  Write a letter.  Call your Senator or Member of Congress.  Your voice is more important now than ever.

Thank you!

While we encourage you to add your perspective to this important debate, your participation is voluntary, and you may express any personal position or opinion.  If you do participate, remember that you are acting on your own behalf not on behalf of the company.  UnitedHealth Group believes in expressing its views in a constructive, respectful manner, and we urge you to do the same.
